Timbercreek update

I want to keep you inform about what is going on in your neck of the woods. The project might be in one neighborhood but it does have an effect on the surrounding neighborhoods. I hope that some of the drivers avoid these streets that are being worked on as there are alternative routes to take.

Ramming Paving Contractor (sub to SJ Louis) started the milling of the street this morning. SAWS and COSA ROW Inspector had our concern with the dust in the area today and SJ Louis has mobilized a water truck directly for Timbercreek Drive . They will start watering the street and continue to water as needed throughout the day.

As for planned progress for this street will be:

Ramming-continue to mill the entire street from curb to curb (approximately 2 days) and SJ Louis will make necessary repairs to the curbs on Timbercreek dr.
Ramming-Mill Lakeside Parkway while SJ Louis will make necessary repairs to the curbs on Lakeside Parkway
Ramming-Remobilize to Timbercreek to HMAC Overlay
Ramming-HMAC Overlay Lakeside Parkway

The whole process will be dependent on how fast SJ Louis can make the repairs to the curbs so Ramming and overlay the street. Curbs must be in place prior to street overlay.

On May 5, 2011 the San Antonio City Council approved the new San Antonio Property Maintenance Code (SAPMC), which strengthens, updates and clarifies minimum property maintenance requirements for property owners and tenants. In addition, it created a new Building Standards Board (BSB) to hear appeals to and violations of the SAPMC, as well as adjudicate cases related to unsafe structures.
The new BSB will be citizen-based and include 14 members appointed by City Council. Ten (10) members are to be appointed by City Council district and four (4) at-large including the Mayor’s appointee.

Note from Lora
I feel it is VERY IMPORTANT that we get a citizen's view on this Board. They will be deciding what needs repair and if it is in code. This is the appeals board.
