Four pools open for Spring Break
Four Parks and Recreation Pools to be open for Spring Break
In an effort to offer our citizens even more opportunities to stay active and fit, the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department will open four regional pools during Spring Break, March 13 through March 18, 2012. The pools are Heritage,1423 Ellison Dr. ; Lady Bird Johnson, 10700 Nacogdoches ; South Side Lions, 3100 Hiawatha; and Woodlawn, 1100 Cincinnati .
Lap swimming is offered Tuesday through Thursdayfrom 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and open swimming is offeredTuesday through Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m.
The four regional pools will open again on May 5 in advance of the summer 2012 outdoor pool season. The summer season runs June 16 through Aug. 19. Hours of operation at the department's 24 outdoor pools areTuesday through Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. The same four regional pools will also be open for an extended season offering Lap Swim and Open Swim through Oct. 27, 2012.
